  Legal Concerns About "Zoom" Meetings!

  this whole "zoom" thing has got me wondering whether some of it is legal or not.

  if a person has to dress up for a zoom meeting the way the watchtower dictates, doesn't this really go "beyond" cult?.

  even the cults who committed mass suicide were able to dress the way they wanted for their meetings.

  Suppose you have the virus and are sick in bed in your nightshirt....and you want some entertainment in your misery so you plug on.....you going to be harassed for no knee length skirt and turtleneck? Or suit and tie?

  
  

  If you are in bed feeling unwell the last thing you want to do is connect to a meeting! That will put you back a week at least.

  The host also has the option to record these meetings which may be a problem for many people.

  Any of the participants can also record the meeting though from what I understand the permission of the host is needed. I'm sure anyone could think of reason they need to record the show.

  My congregation is something else!

  not only do they want everyone dressed up for the zoom meetings( which i won't do) they decided to keep the zoom meeting at 1pm sunday!

  so they don't upset their spiritual routine!

  I've heard of some congregations holding meetings for field service via Zoom on Saturday & Sunday mornings while rank & file are homebound...seriously! Talk about getting dressed with nowhere to go!🤣

  They do that at my congregation too. They have a zoom meeting on Saturday morning and also midweek. All must get dressed as if going out in service and after a short talk and prayer they all log off and do their service by telephone or email letter writing. As mentioned in a recent letter you can direct people to the Awake 2016 No. 6 on line about Disease and how to reduce the risk. A "placement" can be counted for each such call and a RV if appropriate.

  Some people reckon this is a cult!!!!!

  Counting Memorial Attendees and Partakers

  how will the borg be able to count the partakers(144,000 anointed) since jws are to celebrate the memorial at home?

  what about accurate counts for attendees?

  what challenges do you see?

  As we are all on ZOOM I suppose we will have to raise our glass to the camera jobby while someone is assigned to count those that partake and those that don't!

  I think most will not partake at the memorial, because they already drank the wine the elders provided!

  Not sure where you are but here in the UK each family has to provide suitable wine and bread. Announcement at recent meeting to research on jwlib type of wine, no additives etc and recipe for unleavened bread.

  If "Zoom" is All They Have Now.....

  think of the possibilities, if this technology is all they have to stay in touch with their minions think of the wonderful possibilities..... 1. think of what just one molotov cocktail or flame thrower could do to their broadcasting room and the "world wide work.

  2. or better yet if "v" (for vendetta) hacked into their broadcasting system...and told them the real truth.

  Here in my bit of the UK the KH's are out of action.

  Everyone (with a computer or tablet) is connected using ZOOM and at meeting time all stay in their own home. Other than that the meeting is run as usual. Watchtower Study or other Q&A and you have to raise your hand and be seen by conductor and then be asked to comment. Everyone has to be dressed for meeting. Regular phone calls from Elders to check how you are spiritually.

  Social distancing enforced especially for the over 65's.

  Good News About the Covid-10 and the Watchtower Bible and Truck Society! n

  we all know that things are all going to be way different when we get through this milestone.. like hurricane katrina, people survived this but new orleans even 16 years later is way different.

  our economy is like a shark that must keep moving through the water.

  stop it and it will die.. the witnesses like many people in the world, have little to no savings.
